4 killed, 2 Arrested In Lagos Cult Clash

In the wake of Sunday, April 14, four suspected cultists have were killed during a clash between two rival cult groups in the Sangotedo area of Ajah.

Naija News reports that the cult groups were; Aiye and Eiye whose clash had left panic and fears in the hearts of the residents in the area.

The two cult groups had for a while now been at loggerheads over the battle for supremacy in the Sangotedo area of Ajah in recent times.

A source who requested anonymity said that the operatives of the Area J police command have apprehended two persons in connection with the Sunday’s attack.

“The police recovered four dead bodies and deposited them at the public mortuary. Three cutlasses were also recovered from the suspects.

“Security has been beefed up in the area with more patrol policemen deployed. The area is calm now,” the source said.

Naija News understands that some Police operatives in the area had since entered the bush and street in search for more victims of the clash.

The Police had since initiated a patrol between Ogonbo community and Abraham Adesanya Estate in the Ajah area of the state to comb the areas for more victims and ensuring that peace and orderliness are maintained in the areas.

This report comes as an update of an earlier report made by this news platform, revealing the state at which the cultists murdered themselves in cold-blood.

This news platform had earlier reported that the cultists attacked themselves with machetes, as some of the victims lost their heads while others sustained varying degrees of machete cuts.
