The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has berated political and religious leaders from the north for not speaking up over the incessant killings in some parts of Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News reports that the Kaduna Central lawmaker made this comment on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

This online news platform understands that several states in Nigeria, including Zamfara and Kaduna, have come under repeated attacks by suspected hoodlums.

The attacks in its wake, have left many dead and properties destroyed, a development which led to some protesters marching to the presidential villa in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital recently.

Reacting to the development Sani wondered why northern leaders will keep mum over the killings under the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government but acted like “tigers” during killings under Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Senator Sani said political and religious leaders from the north “behaved like Tigers in putting pressure” on Jonathan’s government to act but are as “fierce as a lamb” under Buhari’s government.

His words: “When killings in the north happened under the last administration, political and religious leaders from the north behaved like Tigers in putting pressure on the Government to act; Under this administration, they are as ‘fierce’ as a lamb,” he tweeted.
