NIMASA Renders Help To Niger Flood Victims

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has stretched out its helping hands to donate some relief materials to victims of flooding in various Niger state communities.

Naija News reports that the agency made a presentation of materials worth millions of naira.

The Director-General of NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside was represented by the Director, Special Duties (External Relations and Technical Corporations), Hajia Lami Tumaka made the presentations of the materials.

The governor of the state, Abubakar Bello, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mohammed Ketso.

Recall that NIMASA had identified with victims of natural and other disasters living in the camp in Lagos with the intention of rendering assistance to them.

Recall that Peterside had said in Lagos; “we have come here to identify with you and to share in your trying moments. Let me assure you that it will not be for long as the Government is aware of the challenges you are going through and is doing everything possible to get you properly resettled in order to lead normal lives again.

“As a socially responsible corporate entity, we are concerned about your well being and we remain committed to partnering with the Lagos State Government to ameliorate your challenges.”

NIMASA has continued with its social rescue programmes in a deliberate attemt to ensure Nigerians facing challenges are helped.
