The Acting Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau has revealed the tactics and the truth behind his abductors used in taking him away.
Naija News reports that Musibau confirmed reports that said he was kidnapped along the Ikorodu-Epe Road on Saturday, but clarified that he was abducted at by 6:00 am and not 8:30 pm as earlier reported.
While recounting his ordeal, Musibau said he was blindfolded by his abductors and so there were no ways to identify the abductors.
According to him; “I ran into them (the kidnappers). They were operating freely on that road (Epe-Itoikin). Some people were lucky not to have been abducted. They just robbed them and allow them to go.
“In fact, some vehicles before me were robbed at gunpoint. When I ran into them, they smashed the windscreen of my vehicle. At that point I was kidnapped; I met two other persons that have been abducted. Not quite long, they whisked us away.”
He furthered that the abductors had dropped him somewhere in Ikorodu before he called workers at the Ikorodu Fire Service Station to come to his aide.
The fire service boss said that four persons were freed by the abductors but three abducted victims were still in captivity.
Naija News understands that the family members of those still in captivity were yet to pay their ransom.
Recall that the Lagos state police has announced the release of the fire service official who was kidnapped alongside other road users on Saturday.
The state police has also said that two persons have been arrested for their alleged connection with the kidnap of the fire service boss and others.
The police said items recovered from the suspect include a single barrel gun and life cartridges among other items.
