President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday appointed a new Controller-General (CG) of the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

This was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary, Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB), Al-Hassan Yakmut on Thursday, April 11, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Naija News understands that Yakmut in his statement gave the name of the new controller-general as Liman Ibrahim.

Yakmut’s statement reveals that Ibrahim’s appointment was made following the retirement of the former fire service boss Joseph Anebi.

“The appointment is for an initial term of 4 years and subject to the extant rules and regulations governing retirement in the public service,” he said.
