Reports revealing the main reason President Muhammadu Buhari attended the World Economic Forum have emerged.

The reports are coming after Naija News had reported the departure of the President from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the evening hours of Tuesday, April 9.

Buhari arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday night.

The president’s arrival comes in one day ahead of his schedule which was Wednesday and at about 1:30 am.

The Presidential aircraft of that flew the President, his aides and some members of his entourage landed at the airport at about 10.45p.m, Tuesday.

The President who had on April 4 departed Abuja for Amman to honour an invitation by King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan and to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF), held bilateral talks and met with different groups of investors at the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting.

He delivered an address at the opening of the plenary alongside King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres.

However, the decision of the President to cut short his official engagements in Dubai might not be unconnected with the security developments in Zamfara, Kaduna and some other parts of the country.
