Fire Guts Imo Airport (Video)

An inferno on Monday broke out at the arrival wing of the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri, Imo state.

The inferno was said to have started at 2:15 pm on Monday, April 8.

Air travellers who were at the scene as at the time the inferno broke out, fled for their lives while the operatives of the Fire service in the state were said to have swiftly arrived the scene to put out the inferno.

As at the time of filing this report, no life has been lost and no record of any injury.

However, the cause of the inferno is still yet to be ascertained as the airport authority in the state is yet to make a statement in that regard.
