The party only won one senatorial seat in the South-East zone through the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu.

Ejidike said: “After appraising the party’s performance in the last general elections, it became clear that the APC had a lot to do in the state to win the 2021 governorship election and subsequent polls in the state.”

He stated that for effective management of the party, he brought in old members like Senator Ikechukwu Obiora, former Anambra State Governor, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, former APC governorship aspirant in the state, Chief Obinna Uzor and the likes.

Ejidike said in effort of their victory in 2021 the party is expected to host a conference to brainstorm its members on how to achieve their goal.

Anambra State is currently controlled by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). A political party is worthless if it cannot win elections.”

“The idea is to see how we can redefine and reposition the party in the state. We must take over power in the state.”

“We are in business and we must be serious. We can’t continue to be in opposition in the state.”

“We shall also embark on tours of federal government projects in the state such as the second Niger Bridge, Enugu/Onitsha expressway and Amichi. It is a Federal Government road. This has become necessary because we have observed that most Federal Government projects in the state were underreported and unknown to our people.”.

he stated with the party waiting for report from the committee inaugurated to investigate the reason for the party’s poor performance in the last election, the party will commence a tour of the 21 local government areas in the state.
