The Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (APC-Lagos), on Sunday officially declared for the office of the Speaker of the 9th Assembly.
Speaking on Sunday in the company of 170 members-elect, Gbajabiamila said he was in the race to unite the nation and bring good governance closer to the people.

A chieftain of the APC in Rivers, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has accused INEC of printing Certificate of Returns for Governor Nyesom Wike and other PDP candidates ahead of the conclusion of elections.
In a statement sent to Naija News, Eze also alleged that Governor Wike planned to unleash Neighbourhood Watch operatives on leaders of the APC in the state as well as using same outfit to cow Rivers people and prevent them from exercising their constitutionally guaranteed rights to express their views through peaceful protests.
