INEC Presents Certificates Of Return In Lagos State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has on Friday, presented Certificates of Return to the Lagos State governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy Governor-elect, Femi Hamzat.

The presentation was done at the INEC office located in Yaba, Lagos state.

Naija News recalls Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled a total of 739,445 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje who got a total of 206,141 in the March 9 governorship election in the state.

Before the governorship polls, Sanwo-Olu had also comprehensively defeated Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in the party primaries to emerge candidate for the polls.
