The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has denied reports that Governor Nyesom Wike offered the governorship candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) Biokpomabo Awara, the sum of N3 billion to dump his party.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Awara had accused Wike of offering him N3bn through his aide but the move was turned down.

Reacting, the Director of Information and Communications of the State PDP Campaign Council, Emma Okah, wondered where will Wike get such huge amount to offer Awara.

Okah told Channels TV: “The allegation is childish and ridiculous. Does he know the weight of N3 Billion?

“Where will the governor get such money to give anybody as a bribe to win an election that he has already won?

“What did Awara do or will do that will make the governor offer him such money?”
