APC Makes U-Turn On Adamawa State’s Supplementary Election

Ahead of the supplementary election in Adamawa state, the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress has called on its supporters in the state to participate during the election which will take place on March 28th.

The development was revealed by the state Organizing Secretary of the party, Ahmed Lawal, while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Yola.

Recall that Naija News had reported that the party planned to boycott the electoral process in the state.

However, Lawal stated that the party has reviewed its earlier decision to boycott the election and had resolved to take part in the rerun election.

He stated that despite the refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission to shift the election, APC would still win.

He call on the supporters of APC to go en masses to vote for the candidate of the party.

“Having consulted all the party stakeholders, we have resolved to participate in the supplementary election fixed for tomorrow.”

“Our earlier boycott threat was not out of fear, but to encourage participation by other political parties who had been taken unawares by the date for the supplementary election.”

“To us, we will participate and win the re-run even as INEC has refused to rescind its decision to hold the re-run tomorrow.”

“We appeal to APC supporters to come out and vote for APC massively so as to ensure victory in the election.”

“Adamawa is an APC state, and with the developmental strides recorded by Gov. Mohammed Bindow, it is a sure qualification for winning an election”.
