Oshiomhole Speaks On 9th NASS Leadership

The ruling All Progressives Congress has declared that it has no plan to share the leadership positions in the National Assembly with the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole gave the insight on Monday during a meeting of the party with House of rep members for the ninth national assemably elected on the platform of the party.

Naija News recalls Senator Bukola Saraki, while in the APC, negotiated a power sharing formula with the PDP which allowed him to become President of the Senate and Senator Ike Ekweremadu emerged Deputy President of the Senate.

However, Oshiomhole while speaking on Monday, said the party will not allow what happened in 2015 to reoccur in 2019 as the party will need a collaborative legislature to provide good governance to the people, adding that the leadership of the Assembly give all committee members critical positions as committee chairmen.

He added that the party leadership will carry out extensive consultation with the President and leadership of the party at all level to arrive at a zoning formula that will be acceptable to all members and the party.
