Supplementary Election: INEC Commence Distribution Of Sensitive Materials In Benue State

As the people of Benue State troop out in their numbers to vote in the supplementary election, the Independent National Electoral Commission has revealed that it has commenced distribution of sensitive materials to areas where election will take place.

The development was revealed by the state’s INEC Public Relations Officer, Mr Terkaa Andyarigeria, in an interview with NAN in Makurdi.

According to NAN the election is expected to hold in 22 out of the 23 local government areas of the state.

Further report revealed that the only local government area in the state where the governorship rerun will not take place is Katsina-Ala.

However, the supplementary election for the House of Assembly is expected to take place in Katsina-Ala and nine other local government areas of the state.

The election will be taking place in polling units where elections were cancelled.
