Wike Reveals How Nigerian Army Interfered In 2019 Elections

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, south-south Nigeria, says the “negative role” played by the Nigerian Army during the 2019 general elections is the worst in the history of the country.

The governor formally requested the redeployment of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Major General Jamil Sarhem, alleging that he deliberately subverted the general elections in Rivers State.

Ebonyi APC Candidate Withdraws From Supplementary Election, Joins PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ezza North West state constituency in Ebonyi state, south-east Nigeria, Innocent Nomeh, has withdrawn from the supplementary election contest slated for Saturday, March 23, 2019, and has also decamped to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Naija News understands that the election originally scheduled for March 9 was cancelled because unidentified hoodlums burnt the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Registration Area Centre (RAC) at Umuoghara, Ezza North LGA of the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been ordered to issue Certificate of Return as duly elected governor to Senator Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2018 election.

The three-man tribunal upheld the petitions filed by Adeleke and the PDP, challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola at the September 2018 governorship election.
