What Kano INEC Rec Told Ganduje And Abba-Yusuf About Supplementary Elections

All political parties have been assured by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC that Saturday’s supplementary elections would be free and fair.

This was made known by the INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Kano State, Prof. Risikuwa Shehu-Arabu, while addressing newsmen at the state INEC headquarters in Kano today.

He said under his watch, the commission would always uphold the rules.

The Kano Rec said, “We have guidelines for the declaration of results until the provisions of the law are met the returning officer cannot make a return.

“The commission had received assurances for the provision of adequate Security from security agencies.

“The commission is prepared for Saturday’s supplementary election in Kano and assured of fairness to all parties.”
