See INEC’s Plan For Re-Run Governorship Elections In Bauchi State
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may have bowed to pressure as it has announced that the rerun of the gubernatorial election in Bauchi state will hold in 36 polling Units across other 15 local governments where votes were canceled.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi , disclosed this at a press conference at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Conference Hall, INEC Headquarters in Bauchi today.
Naija News recalls that the commission had earlier said that it will continue the collation of results from the Tafawa Balewa local government but a court order restricted its decision , making INEC restrategize.
According to him, the rerun election will be held in 36 polling units covering 29 registration areas (wards) in the 15 affected local government areas with 22,759 registered voters.
