Ahead of the supplementary election in Kano State, the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has embarked on non-obligatory prayers and fasting seeking Allah’s intervention.

The development is coming barely two days after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the governorship election in the state inconclusive.

A report into the development reveal members of PDP conducting prayers and sacrifices at various local governments across the state.

The PDP members who are praying to Allah for victory are also invoking Allah’s anger on anybody who attempts to steal their mandate.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Riskuwa Shehu, had declared that election inconclusive following the number of cancelled votes higher than the margin between APC and PDP candidate.

He, therefore, ordered for a rerun in areas where elections were cancelled in different parts of the State.

PDP scored 1,014,353 votes ahead of APC which scored 953,522 votes in the governorship election of the state.

The total margin between both APC and PDP candidate was 26,000 while total votes cancelled was 141,694.
