What El-Rufai Said Before Voting

The Kaduna state governor, Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai has expressed his happiness over the state of the ongoing elections in the state.

Naija News reports that the governor said this while waiting to cast his ballot at polling unit 024, Runka/Marnona, Angwan Sarki, Kaduna.

While speaking with newsmen, the Kaduna state governor said; “I am impressed…There have been significant improvements and the security state are much better. Voting started at 8 am.. Two weeks go voting started around noon. INEC has improved on their activities of the presidential elections. The Process is peaceful.

As the chief security in the state, we have put in place structures to make sure everyone is safe and can vote without fear or intimidation.

I am grateful to the inspector general of Police and the chief of Army staff for their support in ensuring tight security in the state.”

The state governor urged the electorates in the state to come out in their large numbers to exercise their franchise. El-Rufai urged the electorates to maintain peace and ensure a peaceful process across the polling units in the state.

The election is expected to hold across all the twenty-three (23) local government areas of the state.
