1. Buhari Makes U-Turn, Says His Second Term Will Be ‘Peaceful And Prosperous’

President Muhammadu Buhari has renounced an earlier statement that his second tenure would be tough. Naija News reports that President Buhari had said on March 1 that his second term would be tough when he received members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on a congratulatory visit to him at the council chamber of the State House Presidential Villa, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

2. Aisha Buhari Speaks On Those To Be Appointed Into President Buhari’s Cabinet

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has advised the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider only card-carrying members for political appointments. She made the call on Thursday during a dinner which was held in Daura, Katsina State to celebrate the victory of the President and the APC at the 2019 presidential polls.

3. EFCC Wins Case On Forfeiture Of $8.4 Million Allegedly Linked To Patience Jonathan

The Supreme Court has upheld its order over the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) suit seeking the temporary forfeiture of the $8.4million allegedly traced to former First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan. Naija News recalls that about two months ago, the EFCC filed an application seeking the final forfeiture of $8.4million and N7.4 billion allegedly linked the former first lady.

Soldiers of the Nigeria Army were caught on CCTV invading the home of the Rivers State Commissioner of Education, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja. Governorship and State House of Assembly elections are scheduled to hold in the state tomorrow, Saturday.

Senator Godswill Akpabio has withdrawn his application seeking a judicial review of the National Assembly election in his senatorial district. The trial judge Justice valentine Ashi of the FCT High Court who confirmed this today explained that the order of stay issued last Friday was not to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from carrying out its function but to enable an applicant to exercise his rights.
