#NigeriaDecides: Governor Aminu Masari’s Mother-in-law Abducted

Hajiya Maistiyari, mother-in-law of Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari has reportedly been abducted yet to be identified gunmen.

The 80-year-old  mother of Binta Masari, the wife of the Katsina State Governor, kidnapped on Friday morning at her residence in Sabon Gari area of Katsina.

Naija News understands that the armed kidnappers who wore masks to conceal their identity, came on motor cycles. They reportedly stormed the house in the wee hours of the night and whisked her away after maltreating other occupants of the house.

The abduction of the mother of the state’s first lady might not be unconnected with the governorship election scheduled to hold today. Governor Masari is reportedly seeking re-election for another four year in the state.

The Katsina State Government and the State Police Command had yet to officially react to the kidnap of Hajiya Maistiyari as of Friday night.
