The deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Haleemat Busari voted manually during the ongoing election due to the failure of the card reader to recognise her voter card.
Busari’s husband, Tunde Busari (SAN), also did manual voting as the card reader equally failed to read his card at Adekunle polling unit Ward B at about 11:13 am.
Speaking with newsmen after voting, she said the exercise had been peaceful and that she hoped more people would come out to vote.
Her husband, who also spoke to journalists, said the exercise would have been hitch-free but for the card reader that malfunctioned.
