The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Support Committee has dismissed claims that it gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the leadership of the party to lift the suspension placed on Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Okorocha and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State were suspended by the Adams Oshiomhole-led national body of the APC immediately after the presidential election.

In a statement on Thursday, the Director of Media and Publicity of the committee, Kailani Muhammad, said the report credited to one Ejikeme Ugwa, Robert Ngwu, and Maxwell Okoye was not written on behalf of the committee.

Mohammed said, “PSC was set up primarily to compliment the effort of the party to ensure the re-election of the President Muhammadu Buhari and all other candidates contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that is why the Support Committee is not in any way having conflict with the party, its leadership or decisions.

“While we disclaimed them in totality as an impersonator, who has no authority to act or speak on behalf of PSC, we warn the general public to disregard them and avoid working or relating with them in any capacity on behalf of PSC.”
