Breaking: 2020 WAEC Result Is Out (Check Your Result Here)

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for private candidates, 2019 – First Series.

Naija News reports that the Head of the Nigeria National Office of WAEC, Olu Adenipekun, made this known to journalists on Tuesday in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

Providing statistics of the January/February First Series WASSCE for private candidates released, Adenipekun said 12,202 candidates registered for the examination as against the 11,721 candidates that registered in 2018.

According to Adenipekun, 3,102 out of the 12,202 candidates that registered for the examination obtained credit in English language and general Mathematics, as well as in at least four other subjects.

His words: “There are 376 results, representing 3.16 per cent of the total candidature for the examination, being withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice,” said the exam official.

“The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate committee of the council in due course for consideration. The committee’s decisions will be communicated to the affected candidates” he said.
