How Nigerians Celebrate Obasanjo At 82

Today the 5th of March 2019, Nigeria’s former president and elder statesman, Okikiola Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo clocked 82 years in age.

Obasanjo, a former Nigerian Army general was President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007. He was a soldier before serving twice as his nation’s head of state. He served as a military ruler from 13 February 1976 to 1 October 1979, and as a democratically elected president from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007.

From July 2004 to January 2006, Obasanjo also served as Chairperson of the African Union.

The Politician who is a father to many contemporary politicians wears many caps which have earned him a pedestal of relevance for every incoming political party or politician into power.

The People Democratic Party, candidate in the just concluded presidential elections, Atiku Abubakar has taken to his twitter account to celebrate the Veteran Politician, Naija News reports.

Obasanjo who had endorsed Atiku ahead of the Presidential elections was last reported to be rushing out of Nigeria after President Muhammadu Buhari was declared the Presidential elect, last week Wednesday.

While celebrating the Icon and ex-Military Man,  Nigerians took to their twitter handle to speculate whether or not Presidential elect- Buhari will congratulate Obasanjo
