The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled a date for the conduct of its 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mock exercise.

In a statement obtained by Naija News and signed by it’s Head, Media, and Publicity, Fabian Benjamin on Tuesday in Abuja, the board pegged Saturday, March 23 for the conduct of the mock exercise.

The statement recalled that candidates were expected to begin the printing of their Mock Examination Notification slips from Wednesday, March 6.

It recalled that the mock exercise had been introduced in 2017 with the aim of giving candidates an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT).

The aim of the mock exercise according to the examination board was also to make candidates who are in disadvantaged position and cannot operate the computer effectively, have the opportunity to get familiar with the system before the commencement of the CBT.

The statement furthered that the mock exercise is also aimed at testing the examination board’s systems so as to prepare for the CBT.

In the statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, the board also noted that the mock exercise would not be for any assessment process and further warned candidates to guide their particulars jealously throughout the process.
