EFCC Releases Atiku’s Son-In-Law

Babalele Abdullahi, the son-in-law of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has been released by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Abdullahi is also the Finance Director of companies owned by the Wazirin Adamawa.

The release was confirmed on Tuesday morning on Twitter by Atiku Abubakar’s spokesperson, Segun Sowunmi.

He tweeted: “Atiku Abubakar’s son-in-law has been released. That is the way to go. Thank you is in order.”

EFCC had on Monday said it had begun an investigation of alleged money-laundering against Abdullahi.

Tony Orilade, the spokesperson of the EFCC, stated: “We are investigating a case of money laundering against Abdullahi. We shall speak at the appropriate time”.
