Buhari Meets Security Chiefs Ahead Governorship Elections

Reports reaching Naija News say that President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a crucial meeting with security chiefs in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Naija News reports that the minister of defence, Mansur Dan Ali led the security chiefs to the meeting.

The meeting currently going on has in attendance the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, and the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas.

The acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, as well as the heads of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Department of State Services, are also in the meeting.

Some members of Buhari’s cabinet are also present at the meeting. Some of the cabinet members present are; the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, and the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau.

President Buhari is holding this crucial meeting with the security chiefs who hold paramount positions in the security of the country in about four days to the governorship and state house of assembly elections scheduled to hold on Saturday.
