Six persons have been killed while eight others have been left with diverse degrees of bullet wounds as some unknown gunmen attacked Sabon Sara, near Kidandan village in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Naija News reports that the hoodlums attacked the village at about 1:30 a.m, Saturday, March 2.
The gunmen were said to have shot sporadically on Saturday morning after they failed in their attempt to kidnap one Alhaji Nasidi, a large scale farmer in the area.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said the gunmen whisked away the wife of AlhajiNasidi.
“In an attempt to rescue the woman, the bandits opened fire on us killing six persons while eight other people among us escaped with gunshot wounds.
“The deceased have been buried according to Islamic rites in the presence of Giwa Local Govt Chairman, Engr. Abubakar Shehu Lawal Giwa and the Council Secretary, Alhaji Usman Ismail.
“While the eight injured persons were rushed to Kauran Wali Clinic in Zaria for medical attention,” the source said.
This is coming in about few days after Naija News reportrd that several people have been reportedly killed as gunmen launched a fresh attack on Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
Reports gathered by this online medium said most of the people affected are from Karmai village in Maro ward of the local government area.
