1. My Second Term Will Be Tough – Buhari Tells Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has warned that his second term in office may be tougher than the first. Naija News reports that President Buhari made this comment on Friday when he received members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on a congratulatory visit to him at the council chamber of the State House Presidential Villa, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

2. APC NWC Suspends Amosun, Okorocha, Recommends Expulsion

The national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha, governors of Ogun and Imo states receptively, from the party. Naija News understands the NWC has also recommended their expulsion from APC to the national executive committee (NEC).

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, says it suspended Ibikunle Amosun, governor of Ogun, and Rochas Okorocha, his Imo counterpart over anti-party activities. Naija News reports that Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC spokesman, made this known in a statement on Friday, March 1.

4. INEC To Conduct Supplementary Presidential Elections (See Reasons And Details)

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced March 9 for the conduct of a supplementary presidential election in areas where the poll was cancelled last Saturday. INEC’s national commissioner for information and voter education, Festus Okoye revealed on Friday that the supplementary elections will be conducted alongside the governorship and state houses of assembly elections in affected areas.

5. What Ex-President Abdulsalmi Told Buhari About Atiku In Peace Accord Meeting

Abdulsalami Abubakar, chairman of the National Peace Committee and his team have presented the grievances of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to President Muhammadu Buhari. Abubakar, who met with Atiku and some opposition leaders on Thursday disclosed this to state house correspondents after he and some members of the committee met with Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.

6. President Buhari Appoints New Acting Controller General Of Federal Fire Service

President Muhammadu Buhari has in the drive towards the ‘Next Level’ agenda, appointed a new Acting Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service, Liman Ibrahim. Ibrahim who is taking over from Joseph Anebi was the Assistant Comptroller General in charge of Policy, Regulatory and Inspectorate before his appointment.

7. Asari Dokubo Talks Tough, Vows To Revenge Election Killing Of Biafrans In Lagos (Video)

A former Niger Delta militant leader, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, has vowed to avenge the killing of Igbos and Biafrans which occurred during electoral violence in Lagos State. The former freedom fighter said this in reaction to the violence that broke out during the presidential and national assembly elections in some sections of the country.

8. Many Terrorists, 3 Soldiers, 1 Civilian Killed As Boko Haram Clash With Military In Borno State

Many have been reported dead while several others were also injured as Boko Haram launched another daring attack on Jere Local Government Area of Borno State on Thursday. According to local and security sources, at least four persons, including soldiers, were killed while dozens sustained various degrees of injury.
