Suspected Gunmen Kill Former Wike’s Aide, Brother In Rivers

Nigerians in their numbers have taken to their polling units to cast their votes for their prefered presidential candidate and National Assembly candidates.

In River state, the killing of a former aide to the state governor, Nyeson Wike, Mowan Etete, has been confirmed by the police command.

A report into the incident revealed that Mowan was shot dead alongside his brother on Saturday.

It was gathered that the deceased who was a former Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters and his brother were murdered by suspected gunmen at his residence in Andoni.

According to an unconfirmed report in Abonema, Okrika and Bonny LGA, some security agents have been reported to have carted away election materials.

In Bonny, several persons were reported injured as security operatives shot into the air at a RAC centre.
