The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, Peter Obi, has voted at the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Naija News reports that Mr Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, voted in his hometown in Aniocha, Anambra State, Southern Nigeria at 8:59 am.

The PDP Vice Presidential candidate arrived at his polling unit at 8:47 am in the company of his wife, Margaret.

Naija News reports that there are seven hundred and fifty (750) registered voters in his polling unit.

In a related development, President Muhammadu Buhari voted at the ongoing Presidential election alongside his wife and Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

The President and the First Lady arrived at their polling unit in Duara, Buhari’s hometown at 8:03 am.

President Buhari and Aisha went to the election stand, where they were accredited at 8:05 am.

Buhari who is seeking a second term in office on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, voted 8:06 am.

The President inserted the ballot paper into the ballot box at exactly 8:07 am.
