Some top politicians in Sokoto state have gone into hiding after the arrival of the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Naija News reports that some of these politicians have moved underground to avoid arrest by the operatives of the anti-graft agency.

The EFCC’s presence in the state follows series of reports suggesting that some politicians in the state are planning to rig the 2019 election rescheduled to hold on Saturday, February 23.

Recall that Naija News had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and most especially, the EFCC had sternly warned against vote buying by politicians.

Some of these suspected politicians, according to a source are engaged in the ignominious act and have been looking for safe havens to hide during the period of the election, so as to flee away from the clutches of the anti-graft agency.
