Cross River Govt Drags FG To Court Over Suspended CJN Onnoghen

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has dragged the federal government to the Supreme Court to challenge the six-count charge against the suspended CJN Justice Walter Onnoghen for non-declaration of assets.

The suit was filed by the Attorney General of Cross River State on behalf of the state government, reports The Sun.

The Government wants the court to set aside the suspension and trial of Justice Onnoghen at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF were joined as defendants in the suit marked SC/45/2019.
