The Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, in Uke, Anambra state, Rev.-Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, has predicted a brighter future for Nigeria, ahead of the general elections.

Niaja News reports that the clergyman while reacting to the postponed elections, made the prediction in his sermon at the ministry on Monday, February 18 where he mentioned that the rescheduled elections would open a new vista for the nation at large.

Obimma in his message for Nigerians, said God has a special mission for the country, adding that Nigerians should all connect into the much-anticipated change of leadership. The clergyman stressed that next Sunday, which is the first day after the Saturday’s February 23 presidential election, will mark a new beginning for the country.

In his words, the clergyman said; “Nigerians from all walks of life should be part of the imminent change by voting massively on Saturday for better governance and prosperous future for their children and children yet unborn.

He described the postponement of the elections as “a blessing in disguise,” saying that the shift provided an opportunity for more Nigerians to participate in the exercise.

“I therefore appeal to the electorate to come out and vote to determine the new Nigeria everyone is yearning for”.

The cleric while admonishing youths in his message not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs, also urged the nation’s political class to shun acts that are capable of threatening the peace of the country before, during or after the election.
