Deji Adeyanju Regains Freedom

Deji Adeyanju, social justice crusader and convener of Concerned Nigerians, has on Monday, been granted bail by a Kano State Magistrate Court.

Naija News recalls that Adeyanju was rearrested in December 2018 and charged for culpable homicide by the Nigeria Police Force, over a case said to have been decided upon by the Kano State High Court in 2009.

He was thereafter remanded in Kano central prison where he has been for over two months.

The court has however granted Adeyanju bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties. He was also ordered to deposit his international passport.

Oluyemi Fasipe, one of Adeyanju’s allies also confirmed the development and said: “I can confirm to you that he has been granted bail. The bail bond consists of N50,000 and sureties with landed properties in Kano.”

Police arrested Mr Adeyanju on December 13, after accusing him of being an accomplice in a murder case while he was in school.
