2019 Election
NigeriaDecides: Osinbajo Reacts To Elections Postponement
The decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the 2019 presidential and governorship election has been reacted to by the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo.
The Vice-President in his reaction described the postponement as ‘truly disappointing’ but stated that the march to the Next Level continues.
Recall that Naija News had reported that INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, declared the election postponed due to a careful review of the implementation of the logistics and operational plans put in place for the exercise.
The spokesman to Osinbajo, Laolu Akande in a tweet said; “Mr President was already in Daura in Katsina State and the VP already in Lagos to vote this morning before the postponement just announced by INEC.
“This is truly disappointing, but the march to the Next Level continues. Nigeria will prevail.”
