Nigerians React To Keyamo's WAEC Comment On Presidency

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari was planning to jam telecommunication network across the country during Saturday’s election.

In a statement on Thursday, Festus Keyamo, Director, Strategic Communications, APC Presidential Campaign Council, said the allegation that HSLI, an Israeli had been hired to do the job was false.

His word: “This is nothing but a figment of the imagination of the PDP, the obvious sponsors of the story. We have warned a few days ago of a series of fake news lined up by the PDP and Atiku’s Campaign team in the last days leading up to the elections. This is obviously one of them.

“The striking thing about all the false alarms raised by the PDP about this election is that they are obviously judging others by their own standards. This is a party notorious for all that was politically obscene and immoral when they were in power.

“From writing election results to ballot box-stuffing, ballot box-snatching and hooliganism during elections – Nigerians saw it all. So, this latest pontifications by the PDP about a plan to rig the election is obviously symptomatic of a man looking at the mirror.

“We re-iterate it for the umpteenth time that the PDP is not ready for peaceful elections. It is said that it is a person that cannot win a civil argument that resorts to a fight. PDP has lost all the arguments during this election and has also lost the demographic projections, so they are ready to destroy the process.

“We ask Nigerians to go out this Saturday, the 16th of February, 2019 and cast their votes decisively for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.”
