Atiku's Wife Speaks On Nigeria's Economy, Election, Atiku's Cabinet And More...

Titi Abubakar, the wife of Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on Nigerians to act as electoral officers by protecting their votes during the Presidential election.

Naija News reports that Mrs Abubakar made this comment on Sunday, February 10, at a Town Hall meeting organized by Eko4Atiku movement which held in Obalende, Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

Mrs Abubakar who lent her voice to Nigeria’s Presidential election slated for February 16, urged Nigerians to vote for her husband.

Her words: “Go house to house, go and tell those that have not heard that it is only Atiku that can do it for us,” she said.

The wife of the PDP Presidential candidate also gave an insight into how her husband will set up his cabinet, noting that Abubakar will choose an older person as the main Minister and a younger person as the Minister of State.

Her words: “Atiku has promised the youths forty per cent. In his cabinet, he is going to choose an older person to be the main Minister and a younger person to be the State Minister so that the younger one will be learning from the older one because we are going to hand over the mantle of leadership to the younger generation,” she said.

Mrs Abubakar also lamented that there is practically nothing in Nigeria because all the “investors have taken away their money”.

“All the investors have taken away their money because there is practically nothing in Nigeria,” she said.

Here is what she said…

“My husband has sent me to you, the die is cast, Saturday is here, vote Atiku. Atiku wants to get Nigeria working again. Atiku is a great economist. Atiku is a philanthropist. Atiku is a job creator. Atiku is a father; he knows the pains of the old and the young.

“Atiku has promised the youths forty per cent. In his cabinet, he is going to choose an older person to be the main Minister and a younger person to be the State Minister so that the younger one will be learning from the older one because we are going to hand over the mantle of leadership to the younger generation.

“Nigeria today is upside down. You know they say in the whole world we are the poorest of the poorest of all the countries, can you imagine Nigeria that use to be at the top. All the investors have taken away their money because there is practically nothing in Nigeria.

“Atiku is a big economy, Atiku has done it before, Atiku is going to do it again. All the economy team he was the head. Atiku brought EFCC, ICPC, even the BVN and due process, all of these things Atiku brought them with Obasanjo.

“Atiku has worked in the private sector, Atiku has worked in the public sector so he can compare the two and he knows what he is doing, so let’s give it to Atiku.

“Atiku in his hometown has a micro-credit. Atiku is going to take of the women because he was born of a woman. In his state, Atiku has given 45,000 women micro-credit in Adamawa and they are all doing very very well. Because he knows we women are the salt of the earth, Atiku is going to take care of us.

“Come 16th February as we are all seated here go house to house and tell those that have not heard that it is only Atiku that can do it for us. The people (APC) on the throne today said it with their own mouth that if you have stolen from PDP come to APC they will accommodate you and they have told us, even a woman like us have told us. She said before we vote, we should shine our eyes and the woman is even asking are there no men in Nigeria that can stand for Nigerians.

“Can you imagine? I don’t want to mention names but you people know where I am going.

“So I employ you, women, you should shine your eyes, the die is cast. Saturday is there go from room to room, from house to house and tell them that we are in bondage and Atiku has promised to loosen us and Atiku is going to take care of us.

“The suffering is too much, people are dying, our children (Nigerian soldiers) are dying every day at the war front. So I am begging you come 16th February, this month Saturday. Maybe in about two there days we will stop campaigning that is why we have to hurry and do all the ones we have not done and that is why I am here today in Obalende to tell both men and women, old and young to please go out and vote for Atiku and stay with your vote.

“We women, you know we are very capable, we are not just clappers and dancers, not for the kitchen or the other room.

“Vote from up to bottom PDP, from bottom to up PDP so that we can have a good and better life for our children.

“I am begging you when you go on Saturday after you have done your accreditation. Don’t use your thumb because the thumb is big. When you are done with your accreditation, you know they say there are two types of umbrella, there is a close one that one person has, that is not PDP but the open one with the inscription of PDP that is for Atiku and you should vote all these ones down from bottom to up and from up to bottom so we can have a better life for ourselves.

“If the electoral act had been signed they would have announced the result for everybody to hear but now that it has not been signed you know we have to make ourselves the electoral officers. Stand there so that your vote can count”.
