Fire Destroys Election Materials In Anambra State

Two container trucks filled with election materials have been consumed by fire in Awka, Anambra state, Naija News understands.

The fire incident occurred at the INEC office close to Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, with staff of the commission running away from their offices.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertained but men of the fire service are currently battling to put out the fire.

The incident is coming about four days to the February 16 presidential and national assembly elections.
