The All Progressives Congress (APC) Legal Adviser in Plateau State, Joseph Mani, alongside party leaders and their supporters have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defectors moved to the opposition party to align with the Chairman, House Committee on Rules and Business in the House of Representatives, Edward Pwajok (SAN).

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Mani stated that they were leaving the APC because the party was empty and had nothing good to offer Nigerians.

He said, “We are defecting to the PDP to support Edward Pwajok in mobilizing massive votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, its governorship candidate, Senator Jeremiah Useni, and all the party’s candidates in the state.

“We believe that with Atiku as president and Useni as governor of Plateau State, Nigerians will have peace and the IDPs in Plateau State will be resettled. The APC is full of deceit. They have been complaining every day because the party has nothing to offer; it is on that ground that we are defecting to the PDP”

Former Minister of Youth and Sport and Plateau State PDP Chairman, Damishi Sango, who received the defectors in the Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, charged the governorship candidate of the PDP, Jeremiah Useni, to work closely with Atiku if elected into power to resettle the Plateau IDPs.
