The Acting Registrar of the National Examination Council (NECO), Abubakar Gana, on Friday announced tokens will now be used by candidates to access their online results following the release of its November/December 2018 results.

Speaking in Abuja on Friday as he announced the release of the 2018 Nov/Dec SSCE NECO results, the acting Registrar said that result checker cards would no longer be valid for checking of results.

According to him, candidates are expected to purchase a token, with which they would access their results online.

According to the information released via the examination body’s web site, https://result.neco.gov.ng/ candidates are advised to check their results online by taking the following steps:

Enter your token
Enter your examination number
Click on the “Check my result” button.

Naija News had reported that Gana stated that out of the 59,963 candidates who registered for examination in 28 subjects, a total of 37,069 candidates representing 62.48 percent got five credits and above, including English and Mathematics; while 47,031 candidates, representing 79.27 percent got five credits and above, irrespective of English and Mathematics.

Giving a further breakdown of the performance of candidates, Gana said that 57,842 sat for English Language out of which 44,497, representing 76.93 got either distinction or credit.

He added that 57,275 sat for Mathematics, out of which 47,151 representing 82.32 percent got either distinction or credit.
