Biafra: BNYL Rejects Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB Election Boycott, Gives Reason (Video)

Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has rejected a call by the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to boycott the forthcoming general elections in Nigeria.

Kanu and his group have insisted that Nigerians from the South East part of the country should boycott the nation’s general elections, an order which has however generated series of controversies with many attacking the IPOB leader on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Rising from its General Assembly which held in Calabar on Wednesday, BNYL in a communiqué released by its National Leader, Princewill Chimezie Richard and sent to Naija News, said it will not support anything that will not record %100 compliance.

“BNYL has rejected election boycott in the region, in a communiqué released by the National Leader of BNYL, Princewill Chimezie Richard in the video displayed, BNYL said that it will not support anything that will not record %100 compliance,” the group said.

The group also accused the President Muhamadu Buhari-led Federal Government of appointing position by sentiments.

One the leader of BNYL, Fidelis Obimkpe, made these allegations at the group General Assembly held in Calabar today February 6 2019.

Obimkpe in a video released by the group faulted the removal of Justice Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), adding that the marginalization of the people of the South-South and South East gave birth to a renewed struggle for Biafra.
