Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, more popularly known by her stage name, Cardi B, has reacted to the arrest of 21 Savage by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The American rapper, singer, and songwriter took to her Instagram account to say 21 was not caught doing anything illegal or mischievous.

Naija News recalls Savage was arrested on Sunday in Atlanta by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The statement from the spokesperson of I.C.E, Brian Cox said that the rapper is a citizen of the United Kingdom who is “unlawfully present” in the United States, adding that the rapper entered the U.S. in 2005 on a visa that expired the following year.

However as the situation continues to generate mixed reactions on the internet, Cardi B has added her voice.

We will read and educate ourselves on this situation and we will take action! 21 did not come here illegally and was not caught doing anything illegal or doing any mischief! in fact, he has changed his whole life around and as ya can see he’s been very positive in his actions and music”, she said.
