Former Ivory Coast Leader Gbagbo Released
Former Ivory Coast President Laurent Gbagbo has been released on bail to Belgium following his acquittal by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague on charges of crimes against humanity, the court said on Tuesday.
“Mr. Gbagbo is now released under conditions in Belgium,” an ICC spokeswoman said, pending a possible appeal against his January 15 acquittal.
