Goals from Gonzalo Higuain (2), Eden Hazard (2) and David Luiz (1) gave Maurizio Sarri’s men all three points against Huddersfield and lifted them back into the UEFA Champions League spot.
Sarri, who was pleased with the Blues’ performance during the first 30 minutes of the game, said he saw his football.
“I think we started very well. In the first 25, 30 mins I saw my football,” Chelsea’s official website quoted Sarri as saying.
“We moved the ball very fast with good movements off the ball.
“I’m happy because we played for 90 mins & defended for 90 mins, but we need consistency now.”
Sarri added: “I think we have good potential. We need to arrive to play 70, 75 mins like the first 25 in this match. We need to play the same football with continuity.”
Chelsea will now take on Manchester City in their next Premier League fixture.
The Blues had lost their last two Premier League games, 4-0 to Bournemouth and 2-0 to Arsenal.
Those result had infuriated that Italian manager who locked the team up for over an hour in the dressing room.
Sarri has not hidden his desire to attack his players when speaking to the media, with Eden Hazard featuring prominently as talking points in his press conferences.
