Lai Mohammed Says Buhari’s Integrity Attracted The Crowd In APC Rally In Kano State.

Amidst the controversy surrounding the presence of a large crowd at President Muhammadu Buhari‘s campaign in Kano State, the minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that the integrity of the President influenced the turnout of supporters.

Naija News reports that the series of reactions that greeted this occurrence were mostly negative, especially as two governors from the Niger Republic were at the campaign rally to receive President Buhari.

The Peoples Democratic Party as well as its Chairman, Uche Secondus wasted no time in alleging that the two governors were there to strategize on rigging the presidential elections.

“Obehalf of our great party, let me warn INEC, that what we witnessed yesterday at Buhari’s rally in Kano is the worse that even happened since the history of this country where mercenaries and government officers like governors and president of other countries came in their numbers from Niger Republic and Chad,” Secondus said.

“They came with monies and mercenaries to influence elections in Nigeria. He alleged.

But in his reaction, Lai who was speaking in Ilorin, Kwara State at the commissioning of the APC party secretariat donated by Alhaji Yakub Gobir, a Lagos based, businessman, described the Peoples Democratic Party’s allegation that aliens attended the presidential rally of APC in Kano as hogwash.

Mohammed said, “Actually PDP is correct as the aliens they alleged graced the President Muhammadu Buhari’s rally in Kano state came from Mars and Jupiter. Let me tell you, they cannot explain the cultic followership of Muhammadu Buhari. I don’t think even President Buhari can explain it. How do you bring aliens from Niger or Cameroon? It does not make any sense. This crowd was organic and everywhere Buhari goes, that is the story.

“While their own campaign is floundering and their camp is dwindling every day, Buhari’s crowd is increasing every day. Believe me, it is a phenomenon that I don’t think he (Buhari) can explain. What I see in Buhari is that he has proven that the single most
important thing for any leader is integrity.

“People who flock to Buhari’s campaigns go there because they believe this is a man of integrity, he is a man who is passionate about Nigeria. This is a man, who even in his very advanced age, is thinking, sleeping, dreaming and working for Nigeria.”
