The two suspects, Ameh Friday, 35 and Sunday Femi, 23 who gruesomely killed a 75-year-old grandmother, Modupe Olorunfemi in 2017 have confessed that they were promised N500,000 to kill the woman.
The two suspects had in 2017, after committing the crime fled the town to continue cannabis business in another farmland.
One of them was said to have been arrested after police detectives swooped on him when he visited Owo town.
After interrogation, he confessed and gave useful information about other suspects and why the old woman was murdered.
He said their leader, one Gbenga had sent them to kill her for being an informant of the security personnel on their cannabis business.
