Chelsea head coach, Maurizio Sarri, has spoken on the reason behind his decision to drop Callum Hudson-Odoi from the Blues 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday.

The Blues were defeated with goals from Joshua King, David Brooks and Charlie Daniels.

When Sarri was asked why he dropped Hudson-Odoi against Bournemouth, he was quoted by Metro UK as saying; “He was with us, he played three days ago.

“There was Willian, so I had only one winger on the bench. We have four wingers, one had to be in the stands.”

“We have to play three matches in six days, we have to change. “Pedro rested the last match, today I thought better to change, same with Emerson and Marcos Alonso.

“Emerson at this moment is doing very well, played well in the last two, three matches he was on the pitch, now is the moment to use him in the starting XI.”
