Barcelona Coach Confirms Denis Suarez’ Move To Arsenal

Barcelona head coach, Ernesto Valverde, has revealed that the club’s midfielder Denis Suarez is close to joining Arsenal.

“Denis is about to go to Arsenal, there is not much left to make it official.

“We hope he does well. He has always acted with dedication and we are happy with him,” Valverde said.

According to Marca, the midfielder has renewed his contract with the club until 2021 and will now be allowed to join Arsenal on loan this January.

There will be an option to make the deal permanent in the summer for €25m.

The Gunners have been exploring the possibility of signing the 25-year-old on loan during the January window, as they are unable to spend money on big transfer fees.

Arsenal offered a €2million (£1.7m) loan fee, but were reluctant to agree on the inclusion of a clause, which would require them to permanently sign the midfielder at the end of the season.
